 as a result he outlawed marriage.

a priest named Valentine thought this to be unjust

and continued to perform marriages in secret 

keepin' the love alive Valentine :) 

A year ago I had some of the best Valentine's I could ever ask for.

I had it all

everything I ever wanted

not just some of the best

 but the best Valentine's 

I was the happiest person on the planet, pretty sure of that
