July 4th and 5th

July 4th and the 5th are special days for us :)

for the 4th,

to be honest,

I had a kind of off fourth of july this year 

we had things to do that interfered with the festivities and some miscommunications

that was a bummer

but we did still have a great day

spent time together and with our family

saw some fireworks and American flags

so really,

 it was a lovely Independence Day!!

 we went for a long drive for an errand

and this guy sang along sleepily to every song

I tried catching some on film and failed

and then decided to take a picture or two 

but he wouldn't look at me

and then I say, "Taylor, look at meeeee, 

look at the cameraaaaa..."

and I get this

little bugger

 this is one of many wonderful brothers of mine

 Finally, that night we weren't headed home 'til pretty late

we stopped at the shop to drop some things off 

Taylor took a long while with me waiting in the truck

once he got back in the truck we both started to talk fast at the same time

he leaned across the truck 

 kissed my cheek 

and said,"Happy Birthday Love"

while I pointed to the clock 

and said, "You took so long, I got older!"

Aren't we a perfect pair? Always on the same note. 

My one request was to go and try 

to take a picture of my favorite flag on the top of the circle

and a picture of the stars

even though we were both dead beat

after a few failed attempts,

my cranky tired self gave up

Taylor was determined to get a picture for me

and continued all different things while I pouted in the truck

Eventually we got these two shots:

 Not too shabby, eh?

yeah yeah we have lots to learn

and remember with cameras/photos

So, as I said previously in the story of me sitting in the truck and Taylor being late

it was my birthday

July 5th

the secret it out

this is what a 22 year old Tahnee looks like 

 literally just woke up

(please excuse my face)

 by my sweet man

with a giant, delicious, beautiful breakfast in bed

and he insisted in taking a picture

which, even though I wasn't all done up or anything

I am grateful to have the memory

and actually have a picture of me on here!!

This was on the fridge,

which I did notice before I heard him

 coming up the stairs to our room

 Taylor secretly planned a mini birthday party for me

which I didn't even realize until we were home that night

I totally thought we were just having fun for fun 

we put up a rope swing

totally safe, we promise mom

plenty of adult supervision :) haha

oh, and Wes brought the grill and some delicious steaks

 Tay was the first to go, and go and go

 Damien went a few times as well

 the rest of us just swang

it was fun

and Addi made a cake that was SO good

I am grateful for my awesome family and friends

everyday, not just birthdays, especially not just birthdays!

I haven't done my 5s in a while

here are some things I haven't shared yet

5 things I love about my husband

1  I love when it rains for a while so Tay comes inside for a bit

and spends extra time with me that I didn't even know I had

2  During those rainy days, he joined me in some Bachelorette catching up

and now, he knows the guys names better than I do on the show

(and I feel like I can't watch them without him now, 

soooo I am way behind people, don't tell me anything)

3  When I leave the room only for a second

to come back to the bed already being made 

4 (when we are in the same side of the country)

Not a morning passes that Taylor doesn't kiss me 

while I stay snug in bed

 before leaving for work

5  Taylor spoils everyone

not just me, everyone he sees

and he takes such good care of everyone he knows,

even if he just met you
